I just can’t stop thinking about the fact that James was found so far from home. It’s confusing and painful to imagine what his last days were like, so distant from Brownsville where his life began. Was he visiting someone? Or was there another reason for his trip to Illinois? I can't help but feel for his family back in Tennessee who are likely grappling not only with the loss but also with the difficult questions about why he was there in the first place. I imagine it must be so daunting for them to deal with these uncertainties, hoping for any bit of information that could help piece together the events leading up to that tragic day. Sending them all my thoughts as this investigation unfolds.
