Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Branden Colesio, and something that really strikes me is the location where it happened. Brighton Park, like many neighborhoods on the South Side, seems to be grappling with a lot of systemic issues. It's disheartening how places that should feel like home turn into sites of violence. I can’t stop thinking about how Branden was just outside a Walgreens when it happened. It's shocking how such normal, everyday places can become scenes of tragedy in the blink of an eye. It makes me think about how often we take things for granted, assuming we’re safe just because we’re in familiar environments. Sending love and strength to Branden’s family and friends. I hope we can keep discussions like this going so that more people are aware of the gravity of what’s happening in our communities. Maybe if we all keep talking and pushing for change, we can prevent this from happening to someone else's loved one. Let’s keep Branden's memory alive and advocate for safer neighborhoods.
