I can't stop thinking about the tragic loss of Jamice Wright in Austin this summer. It's so painful to imagine what her friends and family must be going through. The fact that this happened over an argument is so frustrating. How can it escalate to the point of pulling out a gun on a 16-year-old girl? I've seen a few people mention that Jamice might have had a firearm with her, but that doesn't change what happened to her. I'm praying for her family and hope the detectives can bring some answers soon. Gun violence in neighborhoods like Austin needs to end, and no one should have to lose their child in this way. If anyone has details or updates on the case, please share. We need to support each other and push for justice for Jamice.
