Has anyone else been struck by how chilling it is that Goodman was wearing earmuffs usually used at shooting ranges? It's so disconcerting to think about. I can’t stop wondering if there was some planning behind his actions that night. The fact that he was known by neighbors for yelling at kids playing too loudly just adds another layer to the unease. It’s so hard to understand how someone could possibly see a little girl on a scooter and feel justified in pulling out a gun. Moreover, learning that Serabi’s mother was also a victim of gun violence is just unimaginably painful. I can’t even fathom what her family is going through—losing both a daughter and a mother in such senseless acts. My heart goes out to everyone affected. It’s just so disturbing that the cycle of violence keeps impacting innocent lives.

I've been following Serabi "Bibi" Medina's case closely, and I keep thinking about her father, Michael Medina. The strength it must have taken for him to try and protect his daughter in such a terrifying moment is beyond words. Losing a child is unimaginable, and knowing that he tried everything he could adds an additional layer of sorrow to this tragedy. I can't help but wonder how he's coping with all this. His little girl was just out enjoying a summer evening, and in a cruel twist of fate, she was taken away—a senseless act that no parent can ever be prepared for. It's a haunting reminder of how fragile life is and how crucial it is that we support families facing these unbearable losses. Does anyone have any stories about how the community is rallying around the family? I'd love to hear more about the vigil or any community efforts to help Michael and others impacted by this tragedy. Any small gesture can make a big difference in times like this. Let's continue to honor Serabi's memory by keeping her spirit of kindness alive in our actions.
