I've been thinking a lot about Swaysee and the courage he showed throughout his short life. It's amazing and so bittersweet to learn about how he once saved his friend's life during such a terrifying moment. It really speaks to the kind of person he was, doesn't it? Even in a situation where he must have been scared out of his mind, he cared more about his friend's safety than his own. I'm sure his family was so proud of him for that selfless act, even though they shouldn't have had to worry about a child facing such things. It's gut-wrenching to think how a future that once glimmered with promise was snuffed out so needlessly. I hope his community can remember Swaysee for the brave and loving soul he was and continue to push for the changes needed to prevent this from happening to anyone else. His legacy deserves that at the very least.
