I've been following the case of Ronnie Mathis's murder, and something that really sticks out to me is how much the community needs to be involved for any progress to be made. It's truly unsettling how quickly a case can go cold when leads dry up. My heart goes out to Ronnie's family and friends, who have had to live with unanswered questions for so long. I can't even imagine the frustration and pain they must be enduring, not knowing who is responsible or why this happened. It makes me wonder how many people were in the area that night and might have seen or heard something without realizing its significance. We owe it to Ronnie, his family, and really to ourselves, to come together as a community and help when we can.
