Hi everyone, I've been deeply moved by the stories shared in connection to the tragic loss of Darius and Ashiya. I wanted to mention something that's been on my mind ever since I read about the arrest. It's a small detail, but how the arrest was carried out really stuck with me. The Hammond Police SWAT and Matteson Police worked together seamlessly, and thankfully, they were able to apprehend Ferguson without any further violence. With so many tense situations that can escalate, I'm grateful there was no additional harm done during his capture. The cooperation between the departments shows a rare silver lining of this case—authorities working efficiently for justice. My heart goes out to their mom, Tina, and the rest of the family. Losing two young lives with such promising futures is too great a burden for any family to bear. They remain in my thoughts.

Has anyone else been following the heartbreaking case of Darius Folds and his sister Ashiya Ogden? The whole situation is just so tragic, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have on their family and friends. I read that their mom, Tina, started a fundraiser to help with the funeral costs. It's just gut-wrenching to see a parent have to go through something like this, losing both of her kids in such a devastating way. Ashiya seemed like such a vibrant young woman with her whole life ahead of her, getting ready to graduate soon. It's hard to wrap my mind around how quickly things can change. I think it's worth mentioning how quickly the local authorities managed to apprehend the suspect, Kephren Ferguson, without any incident, especially given the dangerous circumstances. While justice might be served, I can't help but feel for all those left picking up the pieces. My thoughts are definitely with everyone involved, and I hope they find some kind of peace as they remember Darius and Ashiya.

I've been following the updates on the tragic deaths of Darius and Ashiya, and it just breaks my heart to think about what their family is going through right now. I wanted to talk about the impact that something like this has on a community. I'm from a small town, so I can't even imagine the ripple effect it must be having in Chicago and Matteson. The fact that this all started from an argument between two other people is just baffling. It’s a reminder of how senseless violence can change lives in an instant. I hope the community is rallying around the Ogden family and giving them the support they need. It’s such a difficult time, and they deserve all the love and help they can get. Has anyone heard if there are other ways we can support the family, aside from the fundraising campaign? Maybe sending messages or letters of support to show they’re not alone in this? I'm just trying to think of any way we can help lift them up during such a dark time.
