Hey everyone, I've been following Alexus Ward's case and something's really been sticking out to me lately. Has anyone else noticed the lack of streetlights in that area on South Crandon Avenue? I know it might seem like a minor detail, but for anyone who's ever walked around there at night, it’s pretty ominous and makes you feel on edge. You'd think a city like Chicago would have better lighting in place, especially in residential areas where people should feel safe. It’s terrifying to think that the darkness could have helped conceal the shooter or shooters, at least initially. I can’t stop thinking about what Alexus’ friends and family must be going through right now. I hope they find strength in each other while they wait for answers. If anyone else has any thoughts on this or has seen changes in that area since the incident, please share. Maybe bringing more awareness could help prevent future incidents.
