I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on Virginia Rios's family and friends. It's so difficult to imagine how they must feel dealing with such a sudden and violent loss, especially this time of year. The fact that someone could resort to using a gun during an argument is just so disturbing. How do we even begin to address the root causes of these violent altercations that escalate so quickly? The heartbreak isn’t only for Virginia's loved ones but also for the community. For those who knew her, was there something about her personality, her dreams, or her aspirations that we can keep sharing to honor her memory? Maybe keeping her story alive, along with sharing positive memories, will help us all work towards preventing similar incidents in the future.
