I can't stop thinking about Daniel's volleyball community. From everything I've read, he seemed to be the kind of person who lit up any court he played on. It's clear he made a lasting impact on his teammates and everyone involved in the sport around him. The way people talk about his infectious smile and positive energy is truly touching and says a lot about the kind of person he was. It's incredibly sad to think that someone so full of life and positivity was privately struggling. I hope his volleyball family and all those who knew him can find comfort in each other and continue to advocate for mental health awareness in sports communities. It's so important that we check in with one another and create safe spaces for people to open up about their struggles. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
