I just came across the tragic case of Anita Whittington, and it really got me thinking about how devastating it must be for her family, especially since they’ve already experienced so much loss. Losing someone to gun violence is incredibly painful, and for the Whittington family, it seems like they’ve had more than their fair share of hardships. I know Anita was one of a big family, and it's touching yet somber to see her still being remembered within the National Gun Violence Memorial. It’s deeply saddening that there’s still no known suspect or resolution to her case. I hope her family gets the answers they deserve soon, and in the meantime, may they find some comfort in each other and the memories they shared with Anita. Does anyone have any information about community efforts or vigils in her memory that might be happening in Chicago? It’d be great to support in whatever way possible.
