Has anyone else been following the Cicero shooting case? It's just so incredibly sad. I keep thinking about the aftermath and how the families must be coping. Jessica Hughes was just trying to protect that innocent baby, and it's so unfair that she lost her life in the process. The fact that Myeshia Newby was in a relationship with the shooter just adds another terrible layer to this tragedy. It's difficult to fathom the pain that both families are going through right now, and my heart goes out to little Arturo who now has to grow up without his parents. This case is yet another stark reminder of how devastating gun violence can be, especially when it tears apart families and communities. I hope that we can have more conversations about how to prevent these kinds of tragedies in the future.
