I’ve been following the tragic case of Maurice Clay, Jr., and I’m truly moved by the outpouring of support from the community and his family. It’s incredibly touching to see how the community is coming together, especially with the fundraiser, to help Maurice's family during this difficult time. One thing that crosses my mind is the role model Maurice must have been for other young people at Longwood High. From what I’ve read, he was not only a gifted athlete but also excelled academically—standing out as a student and leader. His dream of making it to the NFL shows just how big he dreamed, and I can’t help but think about how many young athletes looked up to him. I hope that whoever has information about what happened comes forward soon. Someone must know something. My thoughts are with Maurice’s family and everyone who knew and loved him.
