I came across the tragic news about Amere P. Deese, and my thoughts have been with his family and everyone affected by the shooting. I recently read that the incident happened during what seemed to be a normal evening in someone’s home. It's deeply unsettling to think that a place meant for safety was turned into a scene of such violence. These homes, these neighborhoods, deserve peace. Remembering Amere and how he, at just 14, had his life cut short is incredibly sad. I saw a few community members are organizing vigils to honor him and the others lost, which I think is a beautiful way to show support. It's crucial we keep pushing for changes to prevent these tragedies from tearing families apart and leaving communities shaken. How is everyone else processing this, and has anyone seen more updates on what the community is doing in response?
