Has anyone else come across inconsistencies about how Corey's peaceful protest was handled at Wayne County Jail? I've been looking into how the inmates tried to address their concerns about COVID, and it's really troubling. It sounds like they were genuinely scared for their safety, especially with Corey's family already having suffered such losses. To think that instead of being heard, they were met with riot gear and harsh measures is unsettling. I can't help but feel for LaTonya and the rest of his family knowing he was trying to make a difference in such a difficult situation. It makes me wonder if the stress and lack of communication within the jail environment contributed to the overall tragedy of his story. If anyone has more information or thoughts, I'm keen to hear different perspectives.

I was reading some of the tributes for Corey Holmes, and it struck me how much he meant to those who knew him. It's always tough to process how someone can survive so much adversity, like what Corey went through during the pandemic at Wayne County Jail, only to end up a victim of gun violence later. His family's already been through so much, especially losing other family members to COVID. It must be devastating to them that, after all he went through, including advocating for better conditions at the jail, his life was cut short under such tragic circumstances. It’s frustrating that there's still no information on suspects or arrests. My heart truly goes out to his sister, LaTonya, and the rest of his family as they navigate this incredibly painful time. Has anyone heard anything new about the investigation?
