Hey everyone, It’s incredibly sad to hear about the loss of Miguel Meza and Carlos Galindo. One aspect that really struck me was the community's effort to come together for the fundraising. It’s both inspiring and heartbreaking to see residents rally around to support the families during such a difficult time. The resilience shown by everyone involved is truly admirable, yet it speaks volumes about the frequency of such tragedies in places like Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood. There seems to be a palpable sense of solidarity and determination to bring about change. I hope these efforts also serve to bring more awareness to the issue of gun violence and that the funds raised help provide some relief to the families as they cope with this unimaginable loss. Does anyone know more about how these fundraising efforts are organized? It seems like a tough but important task, and I’d love to hear about any success stories or advice on how people have unified in similar situations elsewhere. ? RIP to both young souls taken too soon.
