I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on the Little Haiti community. Marquis Sams was just 20, and to have his life violently taken away in a drive-by is beyond devastating. It hurts to see the fear and grief that's swept over the neighborhood. I read that the investigation is still ongoing, but it's been so many years now. Does anyone have any details on whether surveillance footage captured anything that could help? It's so important for the community to help piece together what happened and bring some sense of justice to Marquis and the other victim. My thoughts really go out to their families and everyone affected. If you know something, please consider reaching out to authorities. We owe it to Marquis and the young woman who lost their lives.
Does anyone else feel like the community's voice isn't being heard as much as it could be in Marquis Sams' case? I've been following this tragic event closely, and it hit our neighborhood hard. Everyone has been affected, and it's clear that the community wants justice for Marquis and the other victim. I've seen a lot of people talking about setting up neighborhood watch groups and pushing for more collaboration with the police. It's encouraging, but I wonder if there's more we can do to support the investigation and perhaps keep a dialogue open with law enforcement. Marquis deserved a future, and it's up to us to keep pushing for truth and accountability. Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Marquis Sams for a while now, and something has been on my mind. I recently read about the difficulties in gathering reliable witness statements in the Little Haiti neighborhood. With the drive-by shooting happening so early in the morning, I'm curious if that may have impacted the number of potential witnesses. If most people were indoors, getting ready for their day, it might explain why there haven't been a lot of leads.
With the community still feeling the effects, it's understandable there might be hesitance in speaking out. But I hope that with some time, more people will feel comfortable sharing any information they might have, no matter how small it seems.
Marquis and the female victim both deserve justice, and I'm thinking of their families during this difficult time. If anyone in the community feels safe enough to come forward, every little bit could help solve this tragedy. ?
Stay safe, everyone.
