Even though Leonardo's life was cut short in such a senseless manner, the stories from his friends and family at the service spoke volumes about the vibrant young life he led. It's incredibly tough to hear about what happened to young Leonardo "Kent" Luke. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family, especially his mom Lashondra, must be going through right now. I just read that the shooting occurred around 2 p.m. in the 5200 block of Village Way. How is it that even in the middle of the day, such tragic events can unfold? It's scary how gun violence is impacting even the younger members of our communities. Seeing this kind of pattern emerge in Georgia is alarming, and it makes one wonder what can be done to better protect our kids. My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I hope the support shown can offer at least a bit of comfort to Leonardo's loved ones.
