Is anyone else just completely haunted by the fact that Derricka Body's mother had to witness such an unthinkable scene on her own doorstep? It's one thing to hear about a tragedy secondhand, but to see the police and your own child's lifeless body on video, knowing your grandchildren were there to witness it all... I can't even fathom how Regina Scott is coping with this right now. My heart truly goes out to her and the entire family.
The police presence must have been overwhelming, but the real horror is in the details no mother should ever have to piece together from a doorbell camera. I'm hoping the investigators find solid leads soon because this family desperately needs justice. It's reassuring to see the community come together for the memorial and the GoFundMe, but no amount of money can ever take away this pain. If anyone has even the slightest bit of information about Christopher Harvey's whereabouts, now is the time to come forward. This family deserves closure and peace.
