I just wanted to share some thoughts about the night of the incident at Suz Lounge. My heart goes out to Makala’s family during this unimaginably difficult time. I can’t stop thinking about what brought her to be at the club that night and whether she might have known either of the accused, Julius Morris III or Raheem Carter. Has anyone heard from people who were there? It’s frustrating not knowing what led up to this awful event. Knowing there were so many people around, and yet the reasons behind the shooting still aren’t clear, is hard to understand. I hope more witnesses might come forward with info. I also noticed Makala was a driven young woman, making strides as a medical assistant and lash tech—her ambition and entrepreneurship say so much about her dedication to her future. It’s truly tragic to see such a promising life cut short. Sending strength to everyone who knew and loved her. If anyone's got any more details or updates, please share. We all want justice for Makala.
