I’ve been following the case of Shaneikwa LaFavor, and I just can’t stop thinking about her little girl, Beautiful. This little one has to grow up without her mom, and it breaks my spirit. To lose a parent, especially so suddenly and violently, must be incredibly confusing for a child. I really hope that Beautiful has a strong support system around her to help guide her through this unimaginable time. It’s comforting to know that the community’s rallying for change and justice, but it’s the everyday support Beautiful will need that worries me. Let’s keep sending love and strength to her, and maybe we can find ways to contribute to her future in positive ways.
