Has anyone else been following the details about the emails and communications between Gisele and the university? It’s so deeply upsetting to learn that Gisele had reached out for help and wasn’t adequately supported. The fact that she felt unsafe and the university assured her they’d keep Nathaniel away, only for that not to happen, is just beyond comprehension. It makes you wonder how many other students may feel similarly ignored or dismissed when raising concerns.
It’s painful to think about what Gisele must have gone through during those last few days. Her friends and family must be devastated, knowing she tried to protect herself and yet was let down by those in charge. I really hope CSU takes a hard look at their policies and prioritizes real changes to protect students. It’s heartbreaking this had to happen to spark action, but hopefully, it prevents future incidents. Sending love to everyone who knew and loved Gisele.
I've been following the discussions surrounding this tragedy, and I keep circling back to the role of communication—or lack thereof—within the university. It breaks my heart to think that Gisele's pleas for help might have been lost in bureaucratic oversight. Imagine being in her shoes, feeling vulnerable, and reaching out for help, only for it to fall on deaf ears or get tangled up in red tape.
Why wasn't there an immediate and comprehensive protocol in place for handling her reports more effectively? One would think that a student expressing fear for their safety would be cause for immediate and decisive action. Universities are supposed to be places of learning and security, yet it seems Gisele was left without the protection she desperately needed.
It’s so important for universities everywhere to review how they address these kinds of situations and prioritize student safety above all else. Gisele’s case is a tragic reminder that policies and promises are only as good as their implementation. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.
I've been following the tragic case of Gisele Marina Razo Lara, and it's so troubling to see how the university's policies and responses may have failed her. I've been thinking about the aspect of how her family, particularly her mother, is coping with this unimaginable loss. It must be incredibly difficult for Rebeca to navigate this aftermath while preparing for a lawsuit against the university. Taking on such a significant legal battle while grieving the loss of her daughter seems like an insurmountable task. I hope she has a strong support system around her during this time. The details about CSU's response—or lack thereof—are infuriating, and it seems crucial for systemic changes to be implemented, not just for justice in Gisele's case, but to prevent anything like this from happening again. My heart goes out to all of Gisele's loved ones as they seek answers and accountability.
