The news of Dayton's tragic death just keeps unfolding, and my heart truly goes out to his family during this incredibly difficult time. I'm particularly struck by the age of one of the suspects, Akiraon Reed, being only 15 years old. It is beyond troubling to think that someone so young is now facing such serious charges. It makes me wonder about the circumstances that lead teenagers down such dark paths. What was happening in Akiraon's life that brought him to this point? The community has to come together and support our youth to prevent these kinds of tragedies. Talking to our kids about the consequences of violence and fostering environments where they feel safe and valued might be crucial steps we can take. This situation should definitely serve as a wake-up call for us all. For those based around Columbus, what are local efforts looking like in terms of youth outreach and violence prevention? Is there any way we can get involved or help spread awareness in Dayton's memory?

I keep thinking about the timeline in Dayton's case. It just doesn't sit right with me, especially what the police have released about the Colt .38 caliber revolver. Why would a 16-year-old have that in his lap if he didn’t know he was in danger, or was he in the wrong place at the wrong time? This breaks my heart for his family. They have to piece together how his last moments played out when so much is unknown. And with Akiraon Reed and Andrew Crowell, I wonder what their connections are. Did they know Dayton? Were they there that night? I hope the investigation will shed some light soon, for his loved ones' sake. It's hard to wrap my head around this, and I can't imagine the pain his family is going through right now. Wishing them strength and support as they search for answers. If anybody on here knows more, please speak up and help bring some peace to the family.
