Has anyone dug into the possibility of a stranger encounter that day? Considering he was last heard from using a pay phone in 2005, it’s possible he might have been picked up by someone offering a ride. I lived in Tempe around that time, and it wasn’t uncommon to see hitchhikers near busy intersections. It's scary to think about, but maybe someone offered him a ride with bad intentions. Really hoping new leads come up soon. Anyone familiar with the area or any similar cases back then?
