I came across this case recently and it’s been weighing on my mind. There’s a lot to unpack, and something I’ve been thinking about is the impact this must be having on the community, especially the youth. Losing someone so young like Dameon Johnson can really shake a town to its core. I can't imagine how Cody Hall is coping, not only with his injuries but also with the loss of his friend. It's so crucial for the community to come together during times like this and support each other. Hopefully, there are resources available for those who need them, whether they're dealing with grief, fear, or anger about the senselessness of it all. The fact that three teenagers are charged really hits hard too. It reminds us of the ripple effects of violence—so many young lives altered forever. My heart goes out to everyone involved, and I hope we see more efforts in Monroe and elsewhere to address gun violence in a meaningful way.
