Is anyone aware of the status of this case? Nothing can be found online regarding any sort of closing of the case etc.

Current status is the investigation is open and ongoing. No official public conclusion about the manner of death or public announcement of charges have been reported as of today. Bummer. No movement on a case is so frustrating.
It’s incredibly sad to see someone so young and committed to serving his community lost in such a tragic manner. Todd Thompson Jr.'s dedication as a firefighter and his role in ensuring the safety of others won’t soon be forgotten by those who knew him. I’ve been following this case closely, and something that’s been on my mind is the significance of that location—6029 Habersham St. Does anyone know if this spot had any particular importance to Todd or if it's known for anything in the area? Maybe it could shed some light on why he was there. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and colleagues at the Glynn County Fire Department who are facing this painful loss. I’ve been following Todd’s case closely and want to offer some information that might help fill in a few blanks.

Todd was there to see a friend, and the property on Habersham Street is believed to be connected to that friend’s family (possibly a boat repair shop). This was a known location to Todd.
