I came across this tragic news about Jeremiah Griffin, and it’s so upsetting to think this happened in our community again. My heart goes out to his family and friends who must be going through the worst time imaginable right now. It's shocking that another incident unfolded at this same location, just where young Zayquantez Jones also lost his life last year. I'm wondering, is there more that community members can do to push for better safety regulations around these spots that have a history of violence? The pattern at Smart Grocery is alarming, and Commissioner McKnight's call for action seems crucial. It's hard not to feel anxious about the safety of loved ones with places like this nearby not taking adequate steps to deter these tragedies. Anyone here involved in local efforts to tackle this issue? Would love to know what's being done or if there's a way we can support demanding change for a safer community.
