I recently dug into some old newspaper archives and found a couple of interesting tidbits about Linda Kay Sanders' case that I hadn't seen mentioned before. It seems like there were a few small reports of a "Jane Doe" sighting in the summer of 1964 around a diner in Knoxville. The description seemed to match Linda, and some locals even reported seeing a young girl matching her description hanging around there for a few weeks. I wonder if this could be the point where everything went cold. Did anyone else come across details about this when researching? Could there have been a reason for this potential sighting to get buried, or perhaps it's just another dead end? Would love to hear if anyone else has explored this angle or knows more.
