Michael A. Teague, a 28-year-old Black male, was found dead on January 12, 2006, in Columbus, Ohio. His death was ruled a homicide, with the cause being a gunshot wound. The incident occurred at 395 N. Garfield Ave. in Franklin County.
Michael Teague was survived by his parents, Michael and Marietta Teague, as well as his daughters, Michelia and Johnaza Teague.
He also had numerous siblings, including Robert "Carlos" Howard, Maurice, Richard, Andrew, John, Nordell, J.J., Michael, DelReo, and Shawn Teague. His sisters included Aysha, Marietta, Deleana, and Shawna Teague. Other family members mourning his loss were his uncle Willie Thornton, aunts Sheila Teague and Joyce Turner, and his fiancée, Yvonne Ingram.
A homegoing celebration was held for Michael Teague on January 20, 2006, at J. Martin Smith Mortuary in Columbus, officiated by Pastor Cynthia Brown. He was laid to rest at Eastlawn Cemetery in Columbus.
As of now, Michael Teague's homicide remains unsolved. The Columbus Police Department continues to seek information regarding the case. Anyone with details is encouraged to submit a tip to law enforcement.
