Did anyone else find it odd how Gary Simmons authorized that $30,000 check to Thomas Dixon for a "horse purchase"? It's such a large amount of money for what seems like a pretty casual transaction. I mean, how many people walk around with that kind of cash to buy a horse? And why would a businessman like Simmons, who you'd think would be careful with his finances, do something like that without any documentation or contracts? Seems really fishy to me. Maybe there was something bigger going on between them that we’re not seeing. It’s been so many years, and I just can’t shake off the feeling that there might have been some shady dealings involving more people than just these two. Anyone else have theories on the mystery behind this transaction?
