It’s truly disturbing to see violence claiming the lives of young people like Quay, someone who seemed to have so much potential and a good sense of community. I've been pondering the location of this tragedy—why was a large group gathered at Planet Fitness's parking lot at such an odd hour? Some say it's a popular hangout spot for teens, but it just doesn’t sit right with me. Was there a special event happening that night, or was this just an unfortunate coincidence? I'm sending all my love and support to Quay’s family and friends as they navigate this unimaginable loss. It hurts even more thinking about his nieces growing up without their uncle who cherished them. Is there any way the community can rally together to prevent such things from happening in the future?
Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the role community spaces play in our lives. It's devastating to learn that Quay lost his life in a place meant for fitness and camaraderie. Planet Fitness, and other centers like it, are spaces we're supposed to feel safe and part of a shared community vibe. It's scary to imagine that violence can find its way even into these places where we go to improve ourselves and support each other.
Quay seemed like a bright young soul who was active in his community and his church, not to mention his talents in basketball and music. It's tough to wrap my head around how someone committed to positivity and bettering himself could fall victim in such a tragic way.
Sending all my thoughts to Quay's family and friends. This must be such an incredibly difficult time for them. If anyone has any information that could help piece this puzzle together, I hope they come forward. This senseless act of violence deserves justice so Quay's family can find some kind of peace.
I can't shake the thought of how vibrant Quay's life was before this tragedy. He was just starting out with his job at Auto Zone, which shows his determination to contribute to his community while pursuing what a lot of 17-year-olds do: balancing school and new responsibilities. It’s clear he had a good head on his shoulders, and people speak so highly of him at work.
It’s absolutely devastating for his family and friends that this promising young life was cut short. I can only imagine how proud they were of his achievements and his involvement with New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Sending thoughts to all who loved him—hoping they find strength and support in their community and each other during such a difficult time. Quay's legacy will live on through the positive impact he had on those around him.
