I find it incredibly concerning that there's been no progress in apprehending anyone responsible for Gerrone Avery's tragic death, especially since the surveillance footage shows a robbery right before the shooting. It's baffling to me that even with video evidence, there are still no charges or arrests. I can't imagine the frustration and pain Avery’s family is going through, particularly his mother, Tara, who has to grapple with these unanswered questions. On top of everything, the involvement of a Spelman College officer raises even more questions about how this all unfolded. I really hope this case receives the attention and resources it needs to bring some form of justice to Gerrone's family. Maybe more public pressure will encourage a breakthrough? My thoughts are with his family, especially with the upcoming funeral—they deserve answers and closure.
