I can't believe such a tragedy took place at what should have been a time for family to come together to honor a loved one. My heart goes out to the Edwards-McCord family, and especially to Sametria's mother, Latanya. The strength she must have had to endure seeing her daughter in such a condition at the very hospital she had just started working at is unimaginable. It's so difficult to comprehend the kind of violence that can impact innocent lives in such a devastating way. I can't stop thinking about Travonya and the guilt survivors often feel in these situations. She was there to support her sister, and instead, she's been left with such a haunting experience. The fact that it took months for an arrest to be made must have been so trying for the family. I just hope that they find some solace in the justice process moving forward.
