I’m sitting here just reflecting on the sheer tragedy of it all. Marcaulen Downs was only 14 years old, with a whole life ahead of him. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family must be going through right now. The fact that someone so young came to such a violent and untimely end is a real wake-up call for the community. I gravitate toward the details about the weapon used. Does anyone know if it was ever mentioned how Earl Wilcox got hold of a gun at just 16? It seems like access to firearms, especially for minors, is one of those big-picture issues that desperately needs addressing. Maybe if we knew more about how these situations happen, we could find better ways to prevent them. Feel free to share any thoughts you have on this, and of course, my thoughts are with Marcaulen's family and friends as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
