Has anyone else been following the tragic case of little Maeson Labiran in Decatur? It's just so unbelievably sad to think about the loss of someone so young. What really hits me is the conversation around gun safety that's happening now because of this. It's alarming how often we hear about unsecured firearms leading to these kinds of tragedies. I mean, it’s something that could happen to any family if precautions aren't taken seriously. I hope the discussions about stronger laws and responsibilities will lead to some real change. My heart truly goes out to Maeson's family; I can't even begin to imagine the pain they're going through. It's a reminder to all of us about the importance of being vigilant with firearm safety, especially with children in the house.
