I'm still trying to wrap my head around why someone would carry out an act of violence like this in a place so public as a hotel. My heart goes out to Victor Ricks' family and friends during this tragic time. It makes me wonder about the hotel's security measures. If someone can do something like this in a hotel's parking lot, are there cameras or security measures in place at all? I’m curious to see if the investigation will bring these details to light. Also, the fact that there's a charge related to cruelty to children is deeply concerning. Were there children nearby when this happened? I hope anyone with information steps forward. It’s crucial for justice to be served, and hopefully, this can also bring some awareness on improving security to prevent future tragedies.
