Hey everyone, I stumbled across Denise Elson’s case again today while reading about unsolved disappearances in Oregon. It’s been over four decades since she went missing in Coos Bay, and I can't help but wonder about the volunteer efforts that went into searching for her back then. I read that the community really rallied together to try and find her, and I’m curious if anyone here remembers being part of those search groups or knows someone who was? What strikes me is how powerful community involvement can be in these situations. It might be a long shot, but I’m hoping that bringing this up could spark a memory or lead to someone sharing more about those initial search efforts. Maybe there’s something someone remembers but didn’t think was important at the time. Every little piece of information counts in cases like this. If anyone here has any stories or insights from back then, I’d love to hear them!

Has anyone looked into whether Denise Elson had any unusual interactions or incidents leading up to her disappearance? I know she was super active in local events, so I'm wondering if she mentioned anything strange or mentioned anyone new she had been hanging out with. Sometimes details like this can get overlooked but could be crucial. The fact that she was involved in so many community activities makes me think more people might have noticed if something was amiss. Maybe someone from one of those groups saw or heard something that might help bring some closure to those who knew her.
