I came across this case, and I just can't stop thinking about how Anthony Eric Petty's story isn't just another statistic. It's clear he had a challenging life, being without a fixed address, but that shouldn't diminish the outcry for justice in his murder. Being unhoused doesn’t mean you're unworthy of safety and protection. It's deeply troubling that here we are, over a year later, and it seems like there's been little progress. It makes me wonder about the resources being allocated towards solving cases where the victim doesn't have a home. It's as if society turns a blind eye and moves on too quickly, forgetting that Anthony had a life, possibly friends and even family who wonder about him every day. I hope the reward prompts someone to come forward with any piece of information, no matter how small it might seem. Anthony deserves justice, just like anyone else, and those who cared for him deserve closure. Let's keep this discussion going, and maybe just maybe, someone with the right tip will see it and do the right thing.
