I just can't stop thinking about how senseless this act of violence was. Davon Walker should have had a long life ahead of him, filled with family and friends. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him. I'm especially struck by the fact that this happened right in the neighborhood where he lived—Southeast D.C., where so many people know each other and try to take care of one another. It just feels so invasive and cruel to have this happen right in the heart of a community. I really hope someone comes forward with information. It might seem small, but it could be the key to solving this case and bringing justice for Davon and his loved ones. Stay strong, everyone.
