Has anyone else seen the footage from the doorbell camera? The fact that there were 40 shots is alarming and really speaks to the scale of violence happening in that area. Dionte deserved so much better, and it’s truly unsettling to think about what his final moments must have been like, caught in such chaos. I can't imagine what his family is going through right now, losing someone so full of potential and about to step into a new phase of life. It's especially troubling that the community is becoming desensitized to these events—that’s a sign of how deep-rooted the issues are. I’m holding on to hope that someone comes forward with information. Dionte’s family, and the community at large, deserve answers and justice. If anyone reading this knows something, please contact the authorities. We all have a part in stopping this cycle of violence.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Dionte Alexander's tragic death and the impact it's having on his community. I grew up in a neighborhood similar to the one in Southeast D.C. and when I hear residents talk about the increase in violence and fear, it really hits home for me. It's so sad to see these long-time residents feel unsafe in a place they've called home for years. It seems like communities like these are often overlooked, and it's disheartening that it takes such a tragic event to bring attention to the issues they face every day. What can be done to help restore a sense of safety and support in these areas? Are there any community programs or initiatives that have been effective in similar situations? Sending thoughts to Dionte’s family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. I hope justice is served swiftly. Stay safe everyone.
