I’ve been following the recent surge in violence in D.C., and Jontae Gilliam's case is really weighing heavily on me. It’s so difficult to hear about someone losing their life in such a manner, knowing he had his own story, his own struggles, and yet we know so little about what led to this tragedy. It’s deeply unsettling that even with a reward, there are no leads or suspects identified yet. I really hope someone steps forward with information soon. Jontae’s family deserves answers and justice. It makes me think about how unsafe certain areas are becoming for the residents who call them home. My thoughts are with his loved ones during this unimaginably tough time. If anyone here knows anything, even the smallest detail might help the investigation. Let’s use this space to keep discussing and hopefully find justice for Jontae.
