Has anyone else been particularly disturbed by the fact that a 9-year-old child had to witness this horrific event and be the one to alert someone about what happened? My heart truly goes out to this little one and the 6-year-old who had to endure this traumatic experience. It's chilling to think about what these children are going through. I hope they are receiving the emotional and psychological support they desperately need right now. It’s moments like these that emphasize the need for community support, both for the survivors and for the family that the community has lost. Growing up with such a tragedy will be a difficult road, but I hope they find some comfort and strength in the people rallying around them.
I can't stop thinking about those two kids who were in the house that night. It must have been terrifying for them to experience something so traumatic at such a young age.
