I've been following the discussion about Trayvon Deshay Lundy's tragic death and wanted to touch on something that's really pressing. It's truly dismaying to see how gun violence has plagued Jacksonville, especially on that terrible day back in November 2015. What concerns me is the lack of progress in the investigation. Despite the initial media coverage and the community's call for action, it feels like this case—and others like it—fades into the background over time. I can't even begin to imagine the agony Trayvon's family must be experiencing, not only losing him but also not having the answers they deserve. It's a chilling reminder of how important it is for those with any information to come forward. The community needs to rally together and support initiatives that encourage sharing tips with Crime Stoppers. We owe it to Trayvon and others affected by similar incidents to push for accountability and justice. Let's not forget them.
