I came across Robert Anthony McLaughlin's case again, and something that's been bugging me is the Sacramento sighting in June 1987. It seems like such a strong lead, especially if he was supposedly living on the streets there. Has anyone found more information about transient communities in Sacramento from that time? I feel like there might be some clues within those circles. It's frustrating to think that this could have been a piece of the puzzle and might hold a key to understanding what happened to him after he disappeared. If anyone has local knowledge or resources, maybe we can find a way to dig deeper into that lead. Every little bit helps.
Hey everyone, I came across Robert Anthony McLaughlin's case recently, and something puzzled me. I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on why his disappearance didn't gain as much media attention back in 1986. Given that he vanished so suddenly from Los Angeles County and there was a possible sighting in Sacramento, you'd think there would have been more coverage. Did his family push to get the story out there at the time? Was it just a case of slipping through the cracks because of other news dominating the headlines? If anyone has more info or ideas about this aspect, I'd love to hear them!
