It's hard not to think about Dayanna's little daughter, who had to witness something so traumatic at such a young age. My heart goes out to her and the rest of Dayanna’s family. I can't imagine the confusion and fear she must be feeling right now. It’s even more troubling to think that someone in a position of trust, like a detention officer, could be responsible for such a tragedy. I read that the family set up a GoFundMe page to support the daughter, and it makes me want to do whatever I can to help. It's so important that she receives the care and support she needs to begin healing from this unimaginable loss.
It's so devastating to think about the sheer helplessness and confusion Dayanna Hurtado's young daughter must be experiencing after witnessing such a traumatic event. Being only 3 years old and having to endure the loss of her mother in such a violent way is unimaginable. I hope she’s getting all the support and care she desperately needs right now.
This case makes me think about the urgent need for better support systems for children who end up as secondary victims in such horrific crimes. It's not just the immediate loss they suffer but also the psychological impact that could last a lifetime. I’m grateful the family set up a GoFundMe, which is at least a step towards ensuring the little girl gets the help she needs, but it still feels like an uphill battle. So many complex layers of healing are involved here. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to her, her family, and everyone trying to navigate this painful situation.
I've been thinking a lot about the little girl caught in the middle of this tragedy. It's so hard to imagine what she's going through after witnessing something so horrific at such a young age. Children process trauma differently, and having experienced something this intense at just three years old could have lasting impacts on her life. I hope there are counselors or child psychologists involved to help her navigate this situation and get the support she needs to heal. It's heartwarming to see the community stepping up through the GoFundMe to support her and her family. Situations like this make you realize how important it is to look out for each other, especially our most vulnerable. Sending love and strength to Dayanna's family and her little girl. ?
