I was reading more about the tragic incident involving Melvin Manzanares, and something that's been playing on my mind is how a situation at a gas station could spiral into such a devastating outcome. It’s terrifying to think about how everyday settings that we all visit without a second thought can become sites of violence. I can't imagine the pain Melvin’s family is going through, especially during what’s supposed to be a joyful season. It makes me wonder what could be done to increase safety in such places and prevent conflicts from escalating. Are there measures that gas stations or local communities should be considering to protect people in these situations? Sending my thoughts to everyone affected by this senseless act.
