This tragic incident in the Franklin Park community is truly devastating. My heart goes out to Michael McKinney's family, especially his mom who has faced such unimaginable loss. Losing one child is a pain no parent should endure, let alone two. As a mother myself, I can't even begin to imagine the sorrow she must be feeling right now.
I'm curious about the impact this violence is having on the community's long-term residents. They've seen the area change over the years, and each act of violence must chip away at their sense of safety and belonging.
