I can't stop thinking about how much Timmy's positivity seemed to touch everyone around him. As an alumnus of UCF and a brother of another fraternity, I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing. A friend of mine from Alpha Epsilon Pi often spoke about Timmy with such admiration and pride, highlighting his selfless nature and the endless laughter he brought into their lives. It's hard to imagine the grief that his fraternity brothers, family, and friends are going through right now. What really strikes me about this tragic event is how senseless it all was. Downtown Orlando has always been a lively place, especially during celebrations. It's meant to be filled with joy and excitement, not fear and sadness. Knowing that he was right in the midst of that, probably enjoying a Halloween night with his friends, and then having his life tragically taken is beyond comprehension. I truly hope that the increased security efforts in Orlando can provide some level of comfort to the community, but let's not forget the importance of unity and continuing to support the families affected. Stay safe out there, everyone. Let's never forget Timmy's shining light and keep his memory alive.

I just read about the tragic loss of Timothy Schmidt Jr., and it's devastating to think about such a promising young life cut short so suddenly. I can't even imagine what his family and friends are going through. I came across a post from one of his former soccer teammates at Weston FC, and the way they spoke about him truly touched my heart. It's clear he was so much more than just a talented athlete; he brought joy and energy wherever he went. One part that stood out to me was how his dad called him his "mini me" and his best friend. That's an especially profound bond, and to lose that is unimaginable. It's truly amazing to see the community rally around his family right now, with all the messages of support and the fundraising efforts. If you're able, consider contributing to the GoFundMe, or even just sharing it so it reaches more people. Let's continue to spread kindness and support for Timothy's family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.?
