Has anyone considered the role the weather could have played in Donald Wynacht's disappearance? I've been looking into historical weather records and noticed that the storm that hit that day wasn't just any normal snowstorm. It seems to have come out of nowhere and moved quickly. It's possible that the conditions were so disorienting that even an experienced outdoorsman like Donald could have easily veered off whatever path he was on. With visibility close to zero, I bet he could have walked just a few meters away and been completely obscured by the snow. And what about the terrain in that area? Anyone familiar with the landscape north of Sudbury? That area is pretty rough, with a lot of dense woods and uneven ground. In weather like that, even something as simple as wandering even slightly off course could be dangerous. I can't help but wonder if he sought shelter and just couldn't find his way back. Even with the search party's efforts, a person could be very hard to find out there, especially if snow kept covering potential clues. Anyone here know more about how the search was conducted? Could certain areas have been missed due to heavy snowfall at the time?
