Has anyone looked into the possibility that Kenneth's boat may have capsized due to unexpected weather changes? I've been doing some digging into historical weather data for the Armstrong area around October 8, 1970, and it seems like there might have been some sudden shifts in weather patterns around that time. The rugged landscape and unpredictable weather of northern Ontario could have made it difficult for Kenneth if the water turned rough unexpectedly. Without modern weather forecasting technologies back then, it's possible he didn't realize he might be heading into dangerous conditions.
Looking at similar cases of disappearances in remote areas, weather is often a significant factor. It might be worth considering whether unexpected changes could have caught him off guard, making it difficult for rescuers to find any traces later. I’m curious if there were ever reports or local accounts from that time about how the weather was on the day he went missing. Would love to hear thoughts or if anyone has more info on this angle.
